C. Portrait of An Enchantress. Some of the nicest things come in the simplest packages. Understatement is a very effective foil. This box from the outside is simply a pretty classical box hand painted with butterflies. Open it! and now you see what it is about! The portrait is that of an enchantingly beautiful young child with a facial expression that touches the heart. I suspect that it was taken from a painting by a renowned artist but who the artist was I do not know. The interior of the box base is covered with delicate leaves and the inside cover, of course, is the portrait. The box was found by a customer who requested that I get it for her, and to her I say, "Thank you , Mim. You have a wonderful eye for boxes." The clasp is twined hearts. D. Portrait of The Three Innocents Box. Each time we receive one of this group of boxes we are reminded anew of their beauty. Each is more beautiful than the last. This one is achingly beautiful! The delicately shaded butterflies against the soft sunny yellow of the box is lovely but doesn't even begin to approach the beauty of the interior of the box. Open the lid and a portrait of three young sisters just takes your breath away. It is heart stoppingl! The delicacy of the portrait is such that it could only have been done by a master. Rochard has these boxes made for them and I don't know who it is that selects the portraits for the boxes nor of whom the portraits are, but it must be said that the level of taste is superb.
