The Miniature Picture Frame Ornament Collection
These miniature frames are exact copies of frames made by Fabergé in the St. Petersburg workshop, the difference being that these are not made in precious metals or set with real gems.. Each frame has either a golden ribbon or a silken cord with which it can be hung on your Christmas tree. Additionally, two of the frames have stands attached so that they can be displayed year round in your collection. The third frame has it's own easel on which it sits for display purposes. The existing pictures are members of the Royal Family of Russia but the frames open so the pictures can be replaced with your own. The work on these frames is so delicate and so highly detailed that one can only marvel at the workmanship. What strikes me as I study them is that these were made today; there are still people who can do this unbelievably exquisite work, and if this is the case, why then is there so little of it and so much of .all else?

It is important to mention that the back of the frame is finished as beautifully as the front in a striated sunburst design. Even the easel stand on which the frame rests is handsomely decorated.
