| The
Imperial Spring Flower Egg. Made
in 1895 as a gift from Czar Nicholas to the Empress Marie Feodorovna,
this strawberry red enamel guilloché egg is decorated
with delicate gold rococo arabesques and stands on a bowenite
base banded with crystals that, in turn, rests on rococo arabesques
joined to form the base level of the stand. The egg opens from
the top into two halves and reveals the surprise, a stone studded
basket filled with white anemones and green leaves both set with
emerald green stones. The interior of the egg is textured gold,
all metal used is gold plated. Retail: About $425.00. Our price: $379.90. |
