The Doctor Seuss Collection - Treasures for a Lifetime The Dr. Suess Collection is no longer being made. What we have in stock is all that is available.Related Links: The Children's Collection 5 I first found Dr. Seuss when my daughter was perhaps 2 years old.(She is now a quinquagenarian. Look it up, look it up.) The first one I purchased was And To Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street. I recall laughing and giggling with her over the illustrations and the very original rhyming style of Dr. Seuss. We read it dozens of times until she had most of the book memorized. Then I bought The Five Hundred Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins and we read that one over and over again until she had committed whole parts of it to memory. She never tired of hearing these stories even though I went on and purchased Horton Hears a Who, Cat in the Hat, If I Ran the Zoo, Thidwick the Big Hearted Moose and others as they were written. She loved every one of them and like so many of her generation who knew those stories as little ones, she holds them in her heart in a special place as do all of us who spent many fun hours with these enchanting characters. Not long ago I was approached by a new resource who had been selected by the Dr. Seuss Estate to do a collection of Limoges boxes of some of the major characters in the Seuss books. Naturally, I had to see them and once seeing them, had to buy them. How could I resist The Cat in the Hat or Horton or Sam- I- am or The Grinch? Anyway, what follows are the boxes that Mrs. Seuss chose and they are OUTSTANDING!!! For yourself or for your children or your grandchildren, these are The Perfect Gift! A gift that will be loved and treasured for a lifetime. A. The One Fish Two Fish Box. Retail: $205.00. Our price: $184.90
B. The Horton Box. Retail: About $167.00. Our price: $150.90
*Italics added. Editor's Note: All of the above quotations are taken from Dr. Seuss' books, I have them all right here, and strangely, I am enjoying reading them again even more than I did so many years ago. Dr. Seuss was remarkable in that his imagination knew no bounds and he could speak to the children on their level, using words that were so easily understood, he could teach the youngest of them some of the most important lessons of life that would remain with them forever.
